Ingredients

Doughnuts:

1 cup, plus 2 tablespoons whole wheat pastry flour

1/3 cup coconut sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

2 eggs

2 tablespoons applesauce

1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk)

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup Justin's Cinnamon Almond Butter

To coat:

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

 

Cooking Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350° F. Coat doughnut pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Combine first five ingredients (flour through cinnamon) in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together eggs, applesauce, milk, vanilla and almond butter.

Slowly add wet ingredients to flour mixture and stir until just combined.

Fill doughnut pan 2/3 full and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly. 

Meanwhile, combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Coat warm doughnuts in cinnamon-sugar mixture and enjoy!
